There is something about spring that feels like a second chance.

After months of cold weather, shorter days, and the heaviness that winter often brings and the stress from the holidays, the world begins to wake up again. The trees start to bloom, the air changes, and the earth reminds us that renewal is back.

While many people celebrate the new year in January, I’ve always felt that the true new year begins in the spring.

Lemongrass

Preparation

Simmer the herbs in water for about 10–15 minutes and strain the liquid into a bowl.

How to Use

After bathing normally, pour the herbal water over your body.

Focus on releasing anything that feels heavy or obstructive.

You may say quietly:

“May the road before me open clearly and in the right direction.”

A Floor Wash to Clear Blockages from the Home

Spiritual cleansing can also extend to our living spaces.

Ingredients

• Lemongrass
• Warm water
• A splash of vinegar
• Optional: Road Opener oil

How to Use

Brew the lemongrass in hot water, strain it, and add it to a bucket of warm water.

When mopping your floors, begin at the back of the home and move toward the front door.

This symbolizes pushing stagnant energy out and opening the way for new opportunities to enter.

The Road Opens When We Are Ready to Walk It

Spiritual tools do not guarantee a life without obstacles and challenges will always exist.

What road opening work does is help us approach those challenges with clarity, intention, and awareness.

Sometimes the road opens because an obstacle disappears.

Sometimes the road opens because we become strong enough to move through it.

Either way, the work is about preparing ourselves for the journey forward.
